Valve spring removal
I need to know if valve springs can be removed without taking the head off. I have a couple valves that seem to have week springs and would like to try to change them without pulling the head. The intake would be an easy R&R.
This is an 8RT in a 52 F3. Thanks Richard |
I don't think you don't have room to maneuver the springs under the valve stem even if you pushed them up as far as they'd go with the lifter at the bottom.

Thanks for the reply.
That is kind of what I thought but asn't sure how much room there would be to raise the valves. I guess I will pull the intake anyway and see if I can clean and lube up the stems and work them around enough to get them to stop sticking and if not pull the heads. Sure crowded working under the hood of this thing. Richard |
