Mr.N,
The front axle pictures you requested are in my gallery. I hope these help.
If you need something specific, let me know.

I have a question I can't find the answer to.....Are the 77.5-79 crews the only short box trucks from 77.5-79 to have two fuel tanks?

roger dowty 03-29-2008 04:30 AM

(note- i did find that all 250 highboys have a divorced case...but linkage might be an issue if it isn't a 205?)

quick ?. Lookin at a '72 f250 4x4 with manual to use it's 390 and maybe tranny for my 75 cc short bed that has a defunct c6....i'd rather go with a manual.

the truck is a hundred miles away and i might need to act fast. 1) would I only have to worry about the driveline between the tranny and case?

if it does have the 205 then i should be able to use the linkage etc that would be on the 4sp tranny...correct?

it supposedly runs well and for 800 bucks worth of trade it might be the answer I need.

Roger,

After looking at the picrure if you can get it for $800/trading I would jump on it, irritated wife or not. Good luck.

i own the above crewcab...was looking at the highboy longbed (not a crew cab)for parts. paid 900 for the blue crewcab.

Crackpot 03-30-2008 10:08 AM

Thats a good price.. not a deal, but a good price for the longbed. The crew was a steal at 900.

coreyws 03-30-2008 07:11 PM

Anyone know where I can get a nice offroad bumper for my 1978 4x4 F250 crew cab. Also steering has lots of play in it is there a way to adjust this or do I have to replace the steering gear box. Thanks

crazyredneckanyhow 03-30-2008 07:17 PM

try www.broncograveyard.com but you better be sittin down when the price comes up as far as the steering are you sure its in the box?
