Where to stay in Knoxville

Me and the boss are thinking of going this year but we have never been and don't know where to stay. Where do you folks stay?

Looking for something that won't break the bank but somewhere we don't have to fight the roaches for the bed either.

Hey man, we stayed in the Hampton Inn. It's just about 5 miles from the show, and the one we stayed in last year, was just finished last year (very clean) Our club usually stays in a Hampton, so thats where we usually stay with them.

I think it was around $100 a night? The people were VERY friendly, and took good care of us.:)

398 Exit seems to be popular and most populated with truckers. I ahve stayed in the Best Western, La Quinta, and the Quality Inn. All were clean and the door locked with no problem, my hotel requirements. I got into the Quality for $71 a night by booking early. I think this year I am driving up for the day on Friday and wont need lodging. Safe travels to you if you go.

Man... is anything in Tennessee still standing ?

We in Cali get crazy news footage about weather out your way.

tacson 02-08-2008 07:27 PM

A few of the area North and Northwest of here in middle TN got hit pretty hard. I think they will make it though.

Most of the storm damage was up in my area, just north of Nashville. Everyone has really pulled together, and will be back on their feet soon.

In the spirit of the original topic, what's going on in Knoxville, and when? I take it that there's some type of truck show, and I'd love to see some old Fords.

Hey LiftTech I see that you are new here. Welcome aboard just in case nobody welcomed you yet.

I hated to hear about the weather you guys got, I have a good friend who lives in Nashville. I think we were supposed to get the same storms but they played out before they got here.

What we are talking about is an F100 show in Knoxville on May 16th - 18th I think. I have never been so I can't give you alot of details but it is on the Knoxville city webpage under events and these other folks can probably tell you a lot more.
