Innovative solutions to no inboard armrests?

Like to hear of some solutions to the lack of inboard armrests. The absence of a fold down armrest on the center seats is a rather poor oversight IMHO. :)

I agree. The pleather covered center console is not comfortable at all. On my 2000 Expy with a plastic center lid, I had a upholstery shop put padding and cover it in leather. It made it ten times more comfortable and raised the elevation to an acceptable level. The only downside is I could not open the lid 100%, no big deal.

Actually I'm talking about the second and third row seats that have no inboard armrests of any sort for the outboard passengers. Suburbans & Excursions at least have a fold down armrest/cupholder in the cushion of the center section of the seat.

Should have got the second row captain's chairs.

Then I lose a seat...which I need occasionally. And it still doesn't answer the issue of the third row. :)
