SCT tuner settings

If I put the SCT tuner into getting the best fuel economy can i still tow in that mode or is that just for putting around town empty?

If not, will the SCT tuner help me with fuel economy at all as my truck just tows and never gets seperated from the trailer.

SCT can probably build you a custom towing tune that will be exactly what your looking for. If your a diesel, than yes the economy tunes usually have the highest tow rating because they aren't running the EGTs as high. On a gas motor, it really doesn't matter much, a canned tune shouldn't hurt your motor.

You can use the tow file and you should get a little better fuel economy and some more low end power...My SCT Livewire has a 50hp and 65hp tow mode...this is for diesel btw. I wouldn't run any of the other files bc your EGT's can get too hot while towing.
