In the winter - a lot less people go out there, so if you want a part you can BID IT DOWN! Can't you?

If they want business they WILL sell it low because of it.

NOW is the time to bag a nine inch or a sterling dually back axle....

They have to survive, so they have to sell SOMETHING.

I was at the Junkyard a few weeks ago for some parts for the F250, Got 2 hood hinges, the instrument panel cover, a stock am/fm radio ,and some chrome for the cab for 25 bucks.

It's good to know of a yard that metal scraps more than they part out too - they're more inclined to sell parts cheap.
