Once upon a time, there was a brand new chapter...

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/9...ter-forum.html

We had about a half dozen members, and to draw attention - one of the first things we did was MESS WITH TEXAS!!!

It seems so long ago, and a lot of people vanished, some came back, a few moved away, I CAME HOME, and it looks like it is all about to take off on afterburners again.

I hope so.

I'm not a yankee, I'm a DAMN YANKEE! You ain't gittin' me back on that bus!!! 8D

PS: WINTER SUCKS!

Hey - it sent Tejas into a member posting power surge that ought to be a part of FTE History lemmee tell ya....

We duked it out for months, and in the end it was ME, Theo, and Sissy against all of Texas!

Then I transferred to a new duty station and fell out of contact for a while....

Those days were the bomb, it was one of my most creative periods with the FTE website, and we yakked all night long...

We played with the idea of FTE CHAPTER WEBPAGES, but they still have come to nothing.

Here is what I did to try to make it go:

http://www.geocities.com/tennesseefte/index.html

This was the prior month:

http://www.geocities.com/tennesseefte/sam1.html

I wanted it to as closely as I could, follow the format of the FTE home page, but be custom to the chapter.

I did that. But the chapter webspace on the FTE server never done happened.

BIG arguments too - everyone wanted to be different.

Poop! If it works run with it! That's what I say...

Ok now, I should warn all y'all that I am a 6th generation Native Texan, so be forewarned one thing that has always gotten me into more trouble was people pickin on where I am from.

Greywolf 01-25-2008 06:59 PM

Hell, at this rate I might be just headed down there to find a Lady....

Texas has some GOODN'S......

Kim whatshername was from there, and so was Jacklin Smith

THEY HOT!

STILL!

tex25025 01-25-2008 07:02 PM

Weren't you looking for something in and round Corpus?

Greywolf 01-25-2008 07:06 PM

Yeah I was, I might bail still - but not yet.

I cain't help.....

You know, I just don't want to give up yet....

I WANT TO SHOW THESE BASS-TURDS ONCE AND FOR ALL!!!!!

I don't run. MY OLE LADY DID - but that is on her.

She's a weak and stupid bitch.

I spend alot of summers and spring breaks down in that town. It can be a fun town, although I haven't been that far down in the past 4 yrs, so I don't know how it is now.

Greywolf 01-25-2008 07:11 PM

Corpus is a NAVY town - I can work with it.

HELL! AS OF this afternoon, I am footloose and fancy free!

I need a place to go to work again....

(and I want it!)

I HAVE MORE TOOLS THAN I HAVE BOXES TO PUT THEM IN!

tex25025 01-25-2008 07:16 PM

Yep it is a navy town, my dad was stationed there during Vietnam(he got lucky stationed in his hometown).

Greywolf 01-25-2008 07:39 PM

That would be heavily LIKABLE!

The mine sweepers come out of there, didn't they? Plywood hulls like PT boats?

tex25025 01-25-2008 07:52 PM

Yea they did.

Greywolf 01-25-2008 08:06 PM

There is a lot of history there.

tex25025 01-25-2008 09:12 PM

Alot of history there and there was also a Civil War battle that happened there(contrary to popular belief Texas had 5 Civil War battles fought on her soil, and the Confederate won 3 out of those 5, would have had more if the Red River Campaign of the Union troops was successful).
