doh...what's the difference between 9004 and 9007 bulbs?
 

I bought some Silverstars for my truck off ebay the other night.

Not sure how, but I looked somewhere to check on the bulb type before buying and it said 9004, so I bought some 9004's.

Now today I came across something that says these trucks use 9007's. Dammit.

What's the difference between the two? It looks like they use the same plug. I'm guessing they don't interchange do they.

I had a headlight conversion kit that required 9004 bulbs, but I used 9007 bulbs instead. I couldn't find any difference bewtween them. The packages listed the same power usage, they had the same plug, and the same locating tabs. The only thing different at the time(3-4 years ago) was silverstars weren't available in a 9004 yet but the 9007 was so I got them instead. I cant see any reason why you cant use the bulbs you purchased.
