Videos of my '53 with the 410...
 

Maybe these will inspire some who need some motivation. I have had these for a while, but just got a Photobucket account. There are two with the '53 idling, and one driving through the mountains. The first one was the day I got back from getting its first front end alignment 2-years ago. It has since "settled" down a bit to its current ride height. I wish I had a really good get on the throttle video for you, but it will have to wait. It cruises nice and quiet, but it will wake up the neighborhood when you throw it into 2nd gear and step on the throttle. :-X07

Hey man those are REALLY COOL 8D ! I've got a video of my '56 going from the cabin my wife's uncle owns in pigeon forge going to the aqurium in gatlinburg. My wife did it with her cam corder, and got my hood bird and dash in it! Going through the mountains is a really cool drive!! My buddy said he'd put it on a digital format for me and post it somewhere?

On a drive like that (thru the mtns with no real guardrail), do you start thinking about all the nuts and bolts you "might" have forgotten to tighten?! I do!!

Truxx- No, I wasn't at the Knoxville show. The furthest east I have been is the Idaho/Wyoming border :-D

Ross- Almost all of the mountain roads in Idaho are like that. It's quite amazing, but after living here for so long, I don't think anything of it. I know what you mean about the nuts and bolts though :-X21

We all need a little motivation now and then when working on these trucks. Mine sat untouched for a couple of years...and then I saw my Uncle's 64 and a half Mustang convertible that was completely restored. When he started it up, I got motivated again. We all need a little kick in the pants now and then. Sometimes car shows are enough, but when you see one that is the same year as what you are working on or close to it, you get a little bit more motivated. :) These trucks always take money, but I found that there was plenty of work that could be done even while saving up the funds for more parts. :)
