I don't know of anything that you would be able to get into in O C since the fires.Probably better off going out towards the desert. It's more wide open anyway. Might be a little sticky this weekend, though.

Someone have any other ideas here?

The desert would definitely be the best place to 'open it up'. Hopefully an OC native will chime in on this. I go to Cal City, El Mirage or Lucerne for high speed runs.

gah whats it called...santiago peak...not sure if its open or not though...

holly jim canyon would prob be a good spot. me and my jeep buddies go out there every once and a wile

Where do you get in?
|
you take santiago canyon road over the toll road and then make a left at cooks corner (dont know the street name, sorry) and then after you go over a bridge there will be a dirt road/parking lot on your left and that is it. i will talk to my buddies later today and try to get some better directions for you.

Yeah, the road that goes into Coto - Silverado Canyon Rd. maybe? It got pretty burned up in there, would probably be a mud-fest, if there is even access.
Not saying that mud is a bad thing, lots of guys seek it out. |
yeah sorry that is it, i went up there after the fire and after some rain and there were some big puddles and some mud, but you could still move fast.
