How about oil in the fuel?
i dont know, i can't see how oil would get in there? i know it looks like air bubbles in the pics but it physically looks like little chunks of junk
i've noticed mine the same color blue. i've been filling up at a high volume amoco station in south jersey for a few years. never really worried about it.
Could the floaties be from the filter itself? you never know could be a bad run of particular filters just a thought

oil could get in from leaking injector o-rings but the filter wont look clean, it will be nasty and really heavy

the filter had about 900 miles on the filter. tomorrow i'm gonna go in and put in my new FPR screen i think and ill probably go into the fuel bowl and see what kind of junk in there now. |
oh and i HATE the plastic fuel filter lids cause they always strip out!!
i saw your pictures of the filter, it looked brand new, if you had injectors leaking oil into the fuel it would be black by then
bad news

http://inlinethumb14.webshots.com/40...500x500Q85.jpg sorry for the crappy cell phone pic. |
are you sure its bubbles and not water suspended in the fuel?
it was deffinately bubbles, maybe it was water bubbles? i was poking at them and trying to seperate it from the fuel so i could try to figure out what it was. Do you think blackstone labritories would run a analysis like they do on oil?
Are you using synthetic oil ?
Any luck as to what the problem was?
