Ford and Chrysler to merge
|
Will never happen Fords trying to get rid off there current brands now. Jaguar an others. Chrysler is in serious shape. It would just drag Ford down the tubes. Ford has to concentrate on current an upcoming product which they are doing. If Ford was in great financial shape maybe but probably not either. Ford is worrying about its own future an Chyslers future is well is not good. Chrysler will have to have a total ovehaul to compete in todays market. Usually when one automaker takes over another one. One is great finacially an the othwr is weak. Both Ford an Chrysler are in bad times right now. Totoal vehicle sales are an will down for the forseeable future.

Not just "no", but "HELL NO!". |
Oh yeah, they are going to merge. You can look up some of the preliminary details here:
www.notgonnahappen.com Actually, I have a feeling that Nissan might have an eye on Chrysler. |
no, its true!! i read it on one of the internet pages last night.
ford is buying Chrysler to get the cunnings diesel to put in their pickups, and then they are gonna dump the dodge pickup line to dominate the pickup market. and with gm dumping the Isuzu duramax diesel, and going to the navistar diesel, no one will ever buy a Chevy or gm pickup again, so ford will be the only pickup you will be able to buy after the 2010 model year. :-D |
At this point no auto manufacturer in their right mind is going to go near that automotive STD called Chrysler corp....................
On second thought Chrysler may be right up Fords alley seeing as how they like to flush perfectly good cash down the toilet after failing brands. AKA jaguar and anything else in thier "premium auto group" |

A lot of people believe that the Jeep brand is the "Kiss of Death" for it's parent companys. The curse started with American bantam then willys overland took the eternal dirt nap, after that Kaiser took a bullet to the head. Then came the unsuspecting AMC corp (rest their soul). And now Chrysler corp is mounting the steps to the Guillotine.................We can only hope!

IF ford and chrystler merge, I'll go back to chevy :(

Willys-Overland & Ford assembled Jeeps duing WWII. Willys was purchased by Kaiser Motors in 1953. Jeep was the only brand that Kaiser ever made, that made money for the the company. Kaiser-Jeep was purchased by AMC, French automaker Renault later bought AMC, then in 1975 sold AMC to the Chrysler Corporation. Chrysler was purchased by Daimler-Benz, who recently sold Chrysler to Cerberus, a private investment group. All this has earned Jeep the title as the most traveled brand in history. |

A merger would be a shame. Chrysler deserves to die and the blast radius shouldn't extend to Ford.
"All this has earned Jeep the title as the most traveled brand in history.' A good company bought by bad companies. |
