Shift improver kits ?

Hey guys, getting ready to service my transmission, and looking for a shift improver kit for a 4r70w. Any suggestions? Thanks! Tim.

Get a programmer like the Diablosport Predator. It lets you change shift points, adjust line pressures and modulation to improve transmission performance and life. The plus side of a programmer is that you can improve the engine performance and can read and reset DTCs and monitor engine parameters for troubleshooting purposes! Good luck!:-wink

I used a valve body from LFP on my old truck. I would advise using a deep pan with drain prug on it if your truck didn't come with one. I used a programmer and then changed to the valve body and liked the shifting much better with the VB. If you run the tranny tunes with the VB you will be laying rubber into second gear everyplace you go. Try this link.

dont go with the programmer, you increase the risk of blowing out or breaking snap rings in the transmission due to increased line pressure
