Anyone need a nice steering wheel
I just listed it on eBay

I need another one (leather is worn on mine), but I only have the cruise buttons and not the radio buttons. I wonder if... naw, problably not.

i bought mine for $65 on ebay. its for an 02 navigator. it still had the shrink wrap on it.

I have thought about replacing mine as well... how hard is it to remove the airbag assembly and reistall without problems?

Also, will any Ford steering wheel fit?

any super duty wheel will fit for sure. i am not sure about others. i actually had to track down the spline count on my X and then from the navigator column. they were the same. the air bag was easy. there is a right was and a wrong way to disconnect them. the wrong way could cause the air bag to deploy.

If I don;t have all of those radio controls on mine - could I, somehow, wire them up? Maybe change the harness?

That looks awesome. Now the bigger question I have is, did your original steering wheel have all those extra buttons, and now have you lost (or gained) any functionality? I would be worried about something being different between the two wheels, and losing functionality of the cruise control.

I've been thinking about switching out my steering wheel too. I love Racer's Nav wheel...

Here's another one on Ebay that is not OEM but uses an OEM wheel as its core.

Notice the difference in the the length of each side leather piece... a few centimeters shorter than Racer's Nav wheel. The above link is for a wheel with radio and heater controls.

I think I'll wait till I can find a black leather one like Racers... but, the above link wheel is nice... just not totally OEM.

i had to wire up the cruise control. and since mine is an 01, i dont have the radio controls and the auto climate control. but, nobody really ever knows that. when i sell the truck, the wood wheel comes out.

did you find a wiring diagram to rewire the cruise or did you just figure it out on your own. Im assumming the the connectors dont match up

I want to switch mine to the one on my dads F350, the F-350 is more cusioned than my X for some reason and my x is newer.

I switched out my f350 lariat wheel for a king ranch wheel. The leather is tougher and has more cushion. bought if from local dealer. wasnt cheap, but my old steering wheel was looking pretty bad! I like that wood one though. Might have to find one for the X.
