O/T sand blasting questions

I'm trying to sand blast an old schwinn bike frame. I'm using 70 grit sand. There's a coat of spray paint that comes right off, but the original schwinn paint is very tough and it's taking forever. I see twelve grit walnut shells available and wonder if 12 or 24 grit walnut shells would remove paint faster than 70 grit sand. If not, do any of you have any suggestions of something else I can use to cut this paint faster? Also, let's see some pics of your homemade blast cabinets. I've got an old upright freezer I'm thinking of turning into a blast cabinet.

It might be quicker to hit the Schwinn paint with chemical remover first. Some enamels seem to bounce the media right back at you.

I generally grind or sand my projects first and that keeps the glass beads, etc.,cleaner and you have seen how hard some finishes are to blast clean. I know this is a pain--but it is a good idea and I also clean any grease, etc 1st -so it will blast easy and not deposit crap in my beads/shells/sand........Bill
