Burnout???

Hey guys,

How do you do a successful burnout with the 6.0 PSD automatic?

Thanks

hold the brake and give it gas... be ready for a one wheel smoke show!

be careful i did a one wheel burn out. and it welded the spider gears together. had to have the rear end rebuilt. This happened because when one wheel is spinning and the other isn't the spider gears are doing x2 the wheel speed so when it gets up to 80 the spider gears are doing 160 and at that speed it will through the oil off the gears. causing them to heat up.

Hold on the brake give it a little fuel, let the turbo build up a little then hammer it while still holding the brake. I dont suggest doing this all the time, and im sure you know the reasons lol.

Much easier to just let it rain, then do your burnout because the pavement is wet, won't damage as much, don't need brake, etc. :):)

I've got 3.73s and limited slip. I like to hold the brake hard, bring the rpms up to about 2000, then let off the brake and drop the hammer. It usually spins both tires and its REALLY cool!!

It's all about balance between brake pressure and throttle as seen in the last 30 seconds of this video:
