fixing tailgate

I just ordered the following parts to fix my tailgate:
http://broncograveyard.com/bronco/i-...left_83-96.htm
http://broncograveyard.com/bronco/i-...ease_assy_.htm
and I'd like to know how easy (or difficult) is to put them in.

I spent some time lying in the bed and working on it over the weekend (and actually made it to work for a little while until my idiot roommate bent the release assembly :-arrgh) but found that working on the tailgate is rather difficult.

Is there some magic sequence for the removal and replacement? Do I need to take out the glass first, or raising it is enough? Is there anything else I need to know before attempting to replace them? Lastly, is there any other maintenence elsewhere in the tailgate I could do when replacing the latch and the release assembly?

TIA

Well, I guess I can now answer myself. :-roll

Yes, certain things need to be done in a very specific order, and the glass must be removed. An occasional helper is helpful, but not necessary. For first timers, plan 2 - 4 hours, and since all weather stripping need to be removed, too, hey can be replaced with new ones as well.

Oops! sorry we didn't get back with you sooner. Sounds like you were successful anyway.

Be Carefull and dont over tighten the bolts that hold the window on the track, because if you do overtighten them youll have glass pieces all the way up to the front of the truck lmfao haha. And it seams like the glass will never come out of that tailgate lol.
