Group buy on train horns from Seige Engineering

I am trying to get a group buy up for some train horns. I have heard good things from about the horns from Seige Engineering, and since they are only about 30 minutes from my house, alot of guys have Seige horns in my area. These things are LOUD and DEEP!!! They have two really popular models: The Anvil and the Kong. The Kong MkII is the loudest they offer, and I have heard these in person on several rigs. They are awesome. The Anvils are similar to the kongs, but they have a higher pitched tone.

Below are some links to vids of the horns:

The Kong Mark II:

The Anvil:

Heres a link to a Kong that was sold on ebay:

So, I am trying to see if there is any interest in a group buy on these things. Normally, the price diff between the kong and anvil is about 30 bucks so I would assume folks would want the Kongs.

Please post if you are interested in going in on the group buy. I will give Seige a visit (since they are about 30 minutes away) and see what kind of pricing we can get.

I would be interested, though I prefer the Anvil mkII. I would be interested in the Kong, if the price was right.

I already have on board air with a 5 gal tank.

Perhaps, depending...... I was watching them on eBay, my interest ran to the Hammer 2 series. Looking for roof/rack mount, and don.t want them 3 high or 3 feet long..........:-yeahrigh

can you mount them under the hood......do you have to have air to run them?

I doubt there is room under the hood to mount them. Yes you need a capable air system with at least a 1.5 or 3 gal tank IMO. More is better. I prefer to use 1/2 inch air line to horns like these. Siege uses 3/8s in a lot of their demonstrations which is certainly sufficient.

It is pretty much of a strech to fit under the hood!! I mounted mine on the frame rails under the truck! same with the air compress and tank . Made mistake of pointing them toward the front of the truck, I live on a gravel road and after just one day they started to fill with dirt. I pointed them toward the back and no trouble now. They say to point down and will be louder as they bounce off the pavement! Any louder and I will give someone a heart attck!!:) If you get the kit you get all the parts and instructions to mount the horns. Hardest part for me was getting to the factory horns so I could tie into the OEM horns instead of seperate button. That fender liner is a bitch!!

Where are you at Firemedic? I wouldnt mind one bit helping ya out. I just installed my air system (well, except the compressor, gotta get that next week) so I know some pretty good trick to getting it installed.

Im in Benton, TN. zip code 37307.
