Remove cupholder from dash
 

How do you remove the cupholder tray from the dash?

when you pull the cupholder out. when you look along the top part there should be two tabs that stick up and prevent removal. take a flatblade screw driver and press them down and out it should come.

My cupholder seems to need more "pull"
than "push" to get open. Is it perhaps
missing a spring?

yea when i went to take mine out, while pulling it out there should be two tabs you should have to press down for it to pull out smooth. that was the case for mine. maybe mines broke.

i never use mine

i have the same problem....i really need to PUSH on it to get it to work.

On the front there is the word "push".
I push and nothing happens, so I have to
pull on the bottom to get it open. I did
manage to get the whole thing out
(as 150mudder indicated) and see a spring
or wire that it pushes against. No way
to get to spring with cupholder in place.
