Traction bars and tuner question

Need some advice here fella's. I have an 05 250 PSD with 6" of lift. Rear lift is blocks. Getting ready to order the XCAL3 from Matt and some of his mild tunes. Should I be concerned about the added power and axle wrap with NO traction bars. Maybe I am paranoid but it seems like the added lift using blocks is not a sturdy setup.

Thoughts?

Hey

i have a 06 will a 6" lift with springs though but even stock if i backed out of the drive way i would get it hoping i put procomp bars on it and they work great i got all the banks stuff no wheel hop at all

can you add blocks and with a spring lift, i have a stage two procomp 6 inch.

yea you can i have a bds 6" and i could have left the stock block out to make the truck level our put it in like i did to make the rear higher....but i could have used an even taller block to make it higher yet....just dont stack blocks on top of each other....since you used just blocks i would recommend the traction bars the taller blocks will put more stress on the springs and make even more wheel hop....i got mine on ebay bran new for like $280

ya see i always thought you could but when i called down to 4wheel parts they said first off they dont make them for fords anymore... which made no since and then they said they couldnt do it haha, so i just got the suspension 6 inch

ok, I can deal w/ some hop until I can get the traction bars added. I was more concerned about the added torque rolling the axle far enough to spit the blocks out and loosing the axle.

like i said, just paranoid.

I have 4in blocks on my truck and I have some axle wrap, but it feels the same to what stock was. I wouldn't worry if your not going to race where your doing 15psi drag launches. I've done 4 wheel launches, burnouts and 50 mph beach cruises with no problems (knock on wood), so I think you will be fine.

make sure your U-bolts are tight, get the ultra comp and agressive st.. you'll love the higher tunes once in a while

I put a set of pro-comp traction bars on, and it sure helps the wheel hop on rough roads. I am pleased with the purchase.

yes you will want to get traction bars. i have a 6" lift, but i have springs also, so the only additional block is a 2" aluminum lift block along with the factory cast piece.

i have XCALII with some of SDT's hotter files, and i have SERIOUS issues with axle wrap, i am in BAD NEED of traction bars. ! ! !

I busted an alum block....be careful

I am soon to be running a 2.5" leveling kit, and a custom tuned SCT. Will traction bars help at all, or are they even necessary?

Check out Jesse's at farmboyfabrications.com He has an incredible traction bar set up. I have one of his first sets and its now called the stage one. I pull with my truck and have no issues. In fact it cured all the vibration i had.
