Two Questions about my 2000 L

1) What's the labor in hours to replace the super-charger belt? I think I hear it slipping when I nail it.

2) How hard is it to install the (outside) drivers door handle with a 04 version that has the programed buttons?

It takes about thirty seconds and a 1/2 drive ratchet.

As for belt slip, changing the belt may help a tad, for awhile, but getting 100mm idlers (to replace the stock 90mm) can help. But the best way to minimize belt slip (other than getting a cog setup) is to get a Magnum Powers idler bracket.

The MP setup is better than any other Metco style of idler bracket setup because the MP idler bracket wraps the belt on the snout pulley from the proper side.

The MP wraps the belt from the drive side of the pulley, instead of wrapping it on the release side of the supercharger pulley like the Metco bracket does.

Fantastic reply (as alwas)........... Many Thanks!!

I see that the idler bracket pulley is here at:
    http://www.magnumpowers.com/light_access.php

But it looks like they don't sell direct, can you suggest a supplier for this?

    Thanks Again

I'd keep an eye on the classified threads at NLOC and SVT Performance for used one if you want to save a few coins.

If not, I know JDM used to sell them, I'm not sure if he still does.

I'll have to check around to see which Lightning vendors have these.
