Better designed air intake for 85 5.0 efi truck
 

Hey guys are there any other air intakes off other trucks that will swap onto this 85 F-150 with a efi 5.0? I hate how it puts the air box on the valve cover and I want to see if there is anyway to get rid of it?

There is a mod somewhere that uses a K&N filter from something that has two intake hoses I think a jap car. You have to put pvc in the stock intake tubes then the pvc goes inside the mounting flange for the k&N. You cut the pvc to make the end of the filter almost touch the fender, Then build a panel to keep motor heat away from it and pipe in cold air from the rad support. I'm sure the catalog will show the filter I mean or you could go with two seperate ones and do the same thing, But the dual tube one has alot of surface area plus a input for the crankcase breather deal.
