Could someone please tell me what the stock horsepower rating for a 65 f100 352 v-8 is? Would adding headers and a four barrel carb with performance intake give a worthwhile boost in torque and power? Thanks for any info.

According to a picture in one book I have, it shows the air cleaner decal with 208hp from a 352.

I don't know the HP specs, but the FE engines will do well with headers, the stock exhaust sucks. As for the intake, that too can make a big difference and you can also pop in a Crower cam for about $75 + lifters and that'll really wake things up.

As for the intake and carb, the Edelbrock RPM and Holley 600 vac sec is a good choice.

Phil, just going to dual exhaust will give the most bang for your buck. That isn't a cure for the bad design, but IMHO you will never recover the cost in the headers, not taking in acount the problems that headers have. Your 2 barrel can be tweaked to give you better performance as well. Now if you are running the engine over 4000 most of the time, that wont hold water, but a gas loving, daily driver won't show much improvement at all.

My 352 has 201,000 on it and has never been touched. It makes great torque. I'm planning on Sandersons and ditch the manifolds. With the 3.25 gear and 3 speed, she moves off the line really nice. I love the torque of the FE engines, they sure pull nice. I'm currently saving money to warm up a 390 I have. It'll really move then. Anybody have and or like/dislike the Sandersons? Advice on exhaust would be appreciated. Thanks!

Do the Sandersons fit without mods? Do they seal as well as people say? I used to have a set of Dynomax on a 351M. Made a big difference, but leaked.

Welcome to FTE!

No, no one can reliably tell from your info.

Compression, cam specs, manifold specs, exhaust specs, ignition specs, accessory specs.

Some folks have the desk top dyno program so maybe one will wander by.
