Kenwood DPX 502

I am about to buy this Kenwood for my 06 F 250 SD.

Any one have any exterience with this unit?

I looked at the Pioneer units with DVD and Nav but was warned off by my local radio shops.

Seems the extreme cold up here is very hard on hard drives. Besides I hardly need nav capabilities where there are so few roads. If I go "ouside" where nav capabilities are needed I will use a portable unit. Same with DVD capabilities, I like to listen to "books" while driving but not watch movies.

What I want is a 2 Din unit with IPOD controls and USB plug so I can plug in my portable hard drive.

Thanks

I don't have any personal experience with that unit, but I have been very happy with every Kenwood head unit I have had (including my current DDX-6019).

Kenwood 502

I finished the installation today. It was a no brainer. just splice the new plug wires to the radio plug wires and bolt in.Took me about two hours.
I love it. It looks great and sounds great. A good double DIN fit.
I recommend it.

Still happy with it? I am thinking of getting one for my 03 expedition.

Got it, love it!

Only complaint is the volum knob doesn't stick out very far and is slick a s**t!
Comes with a remote so I don't have to or want to use the knob! Remote is great as is the USB and Ipod plug in.

JUST DO IT!

Did you try ipod integration? usb? I'm wondering how well it works with tags (artist/album) and such. Can you navigate at all from the unit? Looks like a great unit though.

Also, did you need an adapter of some sort for the install?

fyi - saw a similar review to yours on crutchfield (regarding volume knob)
