93 ranger abs light

i have a 93 ranger 2.3l 5sp on my way home today the abs light came on it flashed five times then one long flash, i looked it up and found "system dumps too many times" what does this mean and how do i fix it??? when the light came on i was coming to a stop for a light nothing rough or erratic no tire squeel or anything when at the light i felt the brake pedal thump or pulse about five or six times before the light came on, and the CEL came on about a min earlier are the connected at all ???

it is possible that you may have air in the brake lines or be low on brake fluid. I have a 91 ford ranger and a similar situation happened to me. i bled and adjusted the rear brakes and have not had a problem since
