NEED TO WORK IT OUT

I HAVE A 1997 F-150 SINGLE CAB, SHORT BED WITH A 4.2l AND 5SPD TRANNY. WHEN I DRIVE THE TRUCK HARD (SPEEDING) AND COME TO A STOP THE VEHICLE STARTS TO IDLE ROUGH. IT HAS STALLED A FEW TIMES BUT NOT ALL THE TIME. WHEN I START TO DRIVE AGAIN IT IS VERY SLUGGISH, AFTER A SECOND THE TRUCK WILL GET POWER BACK AND LAUNCH. I'VE TAKEN IT TO THE DEALER THREE TIMES ALREADY, AND THEY STILL SAY THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE TRUCK. iF THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ANY ONE ELSES TRUCK I'D LIKE TO HEAR ABOUT IT OR IF YOU HAVE ANY IDEAS ABOUT WHAT IS WRONG WITH MY TRUCK I'D APPRECIATE IT. IT IS HARD TO STOMP ON CHEVYS WITH MY TRUCK RUNNING LIKE THIS.

ALWAYS STOMPING ON CHEVY

NEED TO WORK IT OUT

I have a 96 F150 4.2 auto does the same thing, if I drive for 20 mins at 65+ when I slow it down, it is sluggish and wont kick, acts as if the trannie is messed up, but I have had it checked and nothing. Changed my spark-plug wires and plugs, got some results, but not great, also changed oil, trans fluid, cooling fluid and thermostat...no dice. Good luck hope you find an answer, I sure could use one.
