Horns!?!?!

I searched around quite a bit before I posted. Anyway, I just hooked up a 5 gallon tank to my truck and I put on my old O'Reilly cheap plastic horns. Well they blew out after the first hit of about 90psi. I plan on grabbing a set off a junkyard dumptruck, and I am just wondering what would be involved. I am thinking I take a phillips and a couple crescent wrenches, and a hack saw, and get them off. When I get them off will they have a solenoid on them? I would rather not run a solenoid because I have a manual valve currently. If they DO have a solenoid built in is there a way to get around using it so I can keep my current manual setup? Thanks in advance

John

Nevermind, I put a big Hadley on there.

Any tank should do. I used to use a scuba cylinder, 80 cf at 3000 psi last a long time on a single fill.

The solenoid valve should just unscrew. But it would be a good thing to have in case you wanted to control an air horn from the stock horn button, or mount a horn under the hood. (having a long run of hose between the valve and the horn means there's a delay before the horn gets enough pressure to operate)
