I know where it is but haven't rode there myself. I have some friends that rode atv's there and said that they had lots of fun. I would be interested in going. It isn't but about an hour from my house.

I found out more info. Area 2 is open by appointment any time except hunting season. During hunting season the 3rd weekend of the month is set up for riding.

Is anyone interested in a trail ride @ catahoula recreation? If you don't have a 4x4 what about an atv ride. Some input would be appreciated. Maybe we could ride and cook some kind of BBQ.

i've heard a few reports from that area and they are pretty good. i personally haven't ridden there. most of our riding consists of Camp Livingston. i don't have a "trail" rig any more (since about 6 years ago), most of my playing involves mud drags with my truck.

i might be interested in an ATV ride. you just have to give me a week or so in advance notice to clear the schedule!!

Untill hunting season is over they are only riding the 3rd weekend of the month. Unfortunantly i'm @ work.

What kind of mud drags do you run. Straight track or horse shoe. I ran acouple times in Jonesville several years ago.

i tried horse shoe ONCE, now i have a new front end, i built my truck for straight line drag, so that's what i deceded to stick with, haha!

i was able to run once at jonesville this year due to work scheduling!! now that i've switched jobs, i'll probably have plenty of weekends to head that way next year! i wish they would either run more durring the month or longer in the year!! i think they only raced 5 times this year.

here's a link to my site

i raced once last year and once this year, so you probably didn't see me that much.

Team Mudd we need to get together off line. I tried to email you from your website but the mail was returned. You can email me @ aaoffroad318@aol.com or call me @ 318-267-9419. I would like some info on the mudracing. I have been out of it for a few years. I would like to make a return. I may have a line on some sponsors also.

Going tomorrow. Myself and friends with 2 67 broncos. I'll post tomorrow and let you all how it turned out.

rbloodhound 10-11-2007 03:42 PM

I checked out the area. The trails are tight for a full size rig. They have lots of steep hills sand and gravel. The area used to be a gravel pitt. There are trails for everyone. Just stay out of the pond. It apears to only be about 6" deep. But my buddy in a bronco found out diffrent. It doesnt have a bottom. His back wheels were barely touching the ground where he noesed off in it. We had a good time.
