it totally made my day. 2 49 1/2 tons, and a 52 merc, heading back to ontario for refurbishing. anyone guess where they came from?? :)

Fomoko1 08-16-2007 10:51 PM

They are sold and moving to Ontario?
Thanks for showing them to us.
This is probably the last they`ll be seen in Sask sadly..... :-X15

i gave the guy a spotter card, told him to be sure and show us the finished product...

skidooman 08-16-2007 11:04 PM

That's great!! I sure hope he will post pic's of the finished trucks!!!

96sherm 08-16-2007 11:08 PM

I kind of hate when people do that take all the good trucks back to a different province but they are nice

96sherm 08-17-2007 07:33 AM

really doesn't bother me where it goes...i like to see the fact that they're going to be restored...maybe we'll see them again someday...

Dustin1690 08-17-2007 11:17 PM

Yeah me too like people come from ontario to here and take a good one from here what for arent there plenty where they are from!!!!

96sherm 08-18-2007 12:17 AM

who gives, as long as the trucks fare well...makes me happy.

Its call money. The trucks out in Ont. are pretty rusted. So guys come out here because our trucks survive better and less rust. They will pay good cash for them here compared to what people here will pay for them.
Thats why I have been advertising some of my unwanted vehicle in Alta and Ont. I have sold stuff for a better price than I would get here.
Those looked like decent trucks and glad someone is going to fix them to stay on the road.

96sherm 08-18-2007 09:53 AM

they were very decent trucks, all the oldies in better shape than the '85 diesel he was towing with.

Corner Gas 08-19-2007 09:43 PM

Those are nice, wish it was me towing them home.

Dustin1690 08-19-2007 10:17 PM

Oh i get what your saying Glen

I MET GUYS THAT IS THIER BUSINESS THEY DO. COME FROM ONTARIO WITH TRUCKS AND TRAILERS AND THEY CHECK THE WEB SITES OR PAPERS AND GO TO fARM AUCTIONS AND PICK UP THESE CARS AND TRUCKS THAT ARE IN PRETTY GOOD SHAPE WITH LITTLE OR NO RUST AND TAKE THEM BACK TO ONTARIO AND SELL THEM FOR A PROFIT. IF YOU LOOK IN THE ANTIQUE AUTOTRADER YOU WILL SEE GUYS SELLING UNRESTORED CARS FOR 1000'S. THEY SAY THE CARS ARE FROM ARIZONA AND STUFF, BUT THEY ARE CARS BOUGHT FROM OUT HERE OR JUST OVER THE BORDER. THEY MAKE GOOD MONEY AT IT BECAUS ETHE DEMAND FOR CARS AND TRUCKS IN GOOD RESTORABLE CONDITIONS OUT THERE.
