West nile virus found in Gwinnett.
The story here. http://www.wsbtv.com/news/13847542/detail.html
I know everyone is aware of the many insect repellants you can purchase. What some may not be aware of is if you have mint growing in your yard you have a natural repellant that works better. I crush the leaves of mint and rub it anywhere clothing does not cover. It lasts for a couple hours, has no chemicals and smells much more pleasant than the storebought stuff. Pennyroyal helps too.(A word of caution do not grow mint or pennyroyal if you are allergic to bees because they are attracted to the flowers) I have heard Thai lemongrass works as well but it would be more difficult to use.
I do not know how true it is but I have heard blue clothing is a big attraction to mosquitos.
It has been awhile since I searched the yard and the woods behind my house for standing water. I need top get off my lazy butt and do so.
