Drove the Nitemare!!

My local dealer has one of the Nitemare F150's and I got to drive it the other day. Very impressive for handling, ride and power. The whine off the supercharger is not easily noticed at cruising speed, and I did not really notice a large increase in power at 50% throttle, but putting the pedal on down made a huge difference over a regular 5.4 F150.

I'm looking at putting an i/c Roushcharger on my '07 Lariat SCrew and wanted to have some kind of idea as to the kind of power it might make and how much the supercharger whine would be noticed by the DW.:-huh

I think that can be explained away as an improved air intake system. :-innocent

Guess that was why they asked me if I wanted to drive the Nitemare :-X22 and then threw me the key when I said yes.

If I was 30-35 yrs younger I would be trying to buy one of these. But think I will settle for the Roushcharger on my SCrew. And yes, I do realize that the much heavier SCrew won't perform with the lighter regular cab but the HP will be the same.

them nitemares are really nice!

you might be looking at maybe 125-150 hp maybe???? with just a s/c so thats about 425-450, which is pretty much the same as the nitemare, it just has an intake and exhaust, which if u havent done exhaust i would ;)

I looked at the Roush exhaust system that is on the Nitemare, was thinking about getting one but did not like the way the exhaust pipe crossed over to the drivers side by the spare. It is the lowest hanging point on the exhaust.

I am probably going to go with the Magnaflow 16612 which is a single rear exit at the stock location. Duals are nice but I prefer the quieter sound. Besides that makes it easier to be a little bit of a "sleeper" when a Roushcharger is installed.

The Nitemare is rated by Roush at 445 hp which is 145 hp over a stock 5.4 and as I said you can definitely feel the improvement when you push the loud pedal on down.
