EGR on 351W,1990

I have a 1990 F250HD 4x4 with 351W-efi and 5sp.
I recently removed all my emmisions stuff(all)
pump,everything on manifolds(intake and exhaust)
my question is I still have the EGR but the sensor that the vacuum line off of the EGR was plugged into is gone now so what can I plug the vacuum line off the EGR into,I plugged it onto my vacuum tee on top of the upper manifold but it would stay running so that can't be right, lol.
any help??

the reason is my checkengine light will go out if I can plug this in somewere.

also the engine seems to be sluggish till about 1600rpm and then takes off.any reasons??
it did this before I took the emmisions off it asctually runs better with thsi stuff off.
thanks.

You need the missing sensor to make the EGR work properly. The sensor tells the EGR valve to open or close depending on the signal it gets from the EEC. Just plug the vacuum off and disable the EGR. It takes exhaust gas from the exhaust manifold and routes it back to the intake to be re-burned. This makes for cleaner emissions, but not since you have removed the rest of the EPA parts, the EGR is not that important. I don't run EGR on my 351W.

Just leave the EGR valve on the engine, and the sensor. Only shut off the entrance to the engine with a solid gasket to the throttle body. The EGR will work fine. The sensor will work fine. The Engine's computer will work fine. But no exhaust goes into the Engine. Everything is happy.....

Good Luck.
