Magnesol Use

What is the ratio of magnesol to bio, how long do i mix and what size of filters do i need. I have a 100gal. processor and want to build a condesor for it. What size tubing and how long or big should i make it.

Bio with the methanol still in it will require 2% by weight. If you recover the methanol first and filter out the soap, you only need 1%. Mix for 30 min, with MECHANICAL MIXING ONLY! Then filter with a 5 micron bag filter, then a 1 micron "absolute" filter bag.

What form of Methanol recovery are you going to use? Heat or Vacume?

Since this is my first time I am going with the heat first. I do have a nice industrial vaccume pump for when I get a better understanding of what I'm doing. You say mechanical mixing, why not a pump like the 1'' water pumps. Magnesol by weight, what does a gal. bio weigh?

Pump mixing sheers the magnesol receptors and grinds it to an even finite powder and you end up with junk. Bio is 7.2 or 7.4 lbs per gallon. 7.2 x gallon of bio mix x .02 = magnesol lbs.

I really don't have to remove the methanol first, the magnesol will take care of it too?

Yes, the Magnesol will remove EVERYTHING nasty...........BUT.....If you recover the methanol first, the soap will fall out of suspension, and can be filtered out. Plus you cut the cost of making the bio by using the recovered Methanol in your next batch :D And you also need only half as much Magnesol!
