Need help Please

Alright, first off it is a 97 f150 with the 4.6L 2wd. The truck first started acting up, by hesitation on take off and it seemed like it was going to stall if you went to floor the truck. The plugs were replaced, the throttle body was taken out and cleaned along with the IAC valve. The truck still seemed like it wanted to stall out. The engine finally threw a code and it was for miss fire on #4. The spark plug was again replaced, and new coil put in. The truck ran better, but still very hesitant and now check engine light is back on. Please help with any suggestions. Oh yeah as soon as my buddy gets home I will hook it to the scanner and see what code is getting thrown now. But does anyone have any idea's in the mean time. Thanks in advance

Without the current trouble code, all we can do is guess about what your problem is. If you just cleaned the IAC, and it is stalling at idle, then you may want to replace it. Have you cleaned the MAF? Tried a new fuel filter? Get the code and let us know what it is so that we are not guessing. :-wink

Thanks. I will post what the code is as soon as I can, just want to try and see what it might be in the mean time so I am not just sitting here. It never has stalled, it just seemed like it was going to. It seems to run better(doesn't seem to want to stall out when you get on the pedal), just alot of hesitation now when you want to get up and go. Thanks again and I will let you know when I find out what code is being thrown now.
