Bilstein BTS kit for 2005 and up F250/F350
 

I was looking at Bilstein shocks for my 05 F250 CC and I noticed this on their site. Has anyone isntalled this? Any feedback? I'd consider doing it if it really imporves the ride quality of my truck.

Bilstein 5100 Series monotube gas pressure shocks are based on Bilstein's world famous, race inspired monotube gas pressure shock absorber technology. These shocks also feature high capacity digressive pistons and split valving specifically tuned for lifted truck applications. The result is better control and more precise handling, especially when combined with the matching rear 5100 Series shocks that are also available for Super Dutys.

I am wondering the same. Basically there are now 3 different mfr's that are offering leveling kits with replacement coil springs:

Donohoe Racing
Rough Country
Bilstein

The Donohoe system includes their brand shocks and an alignment cam to replace the stock cam on the upper ball joint. The F250 kit includes F350 rear blocks.

The Rough Country sytem includes their brank shocks and spacers for the track-bar bracket. The F250 kit includes 2" spacers for the rear as well.

It looks like the Bilstein system only has the front coils and shocks.

Which one is better? Prices on the Donohoe are dramatically more than the other 2. Is the advantage of new coils in the front worth the money over just adding poly spacers like most kits? Anyone?

I am getting Bilstein shocks, but before I do I wanted to see if it was worth getting the kit and having it all installed at once.

I'm also planning on getting a new steering stabilizer. I was going to get a Fabtech dual in-line, but some people think that the dual puts too much pressure on the steering box and should only be used if necessary, like if you have 35 inch tires or something.

I would not replace the shocks first if you are going to lift. They are different (at least on the front) and will require you buy new again with the lift.
