Hold it or lease a new one

Would like some opinions. My situation is this: Letter from ford that they will buy back 3 months lease payments on my 04 EB Expedition due up in September. End of june is three months. Have been looking at EL limited expeditions trying to stay close to monthly payment $580. Nothing comes up around here, upstate NY, even close. Do I wait out lease, extend a month or two and order an 08? Nobody has a crystal ball as far as rates and rebates but what do you guys think?

what is the cost of Ford buying back the 3 payments ? do they bury it in the cost of your next truck ? The prices and deals all ways get better as the summer goes on. Remember that the 07 MSRP dropped about 3-4 K . So unlike Chevy there is not that much extra mark up to discount.

That is what I am finding out. Seems the trucks I am looking at all LTD's even when I strip out the bigger options nav, dvd, etc it does not make that much difference in lease payment. I think the prices of the 08's will go down more but Ford always messes with rebates and more important on a lease, the rate, which on a $50k truck means a lot.

I just don't understand why anyone leases unless it's their companies money. You are just renting a vehicle from Ford or whoever. Oh well, to each his/her own.
