'86 Bronco 2.9L V6 Engine R.P.M. faltering
 

I've got 2.9 V6 in my wifes Bronco & it'll sit there & idle smooth as silk then all of a sudden the revs will drop to about 400 & it'll run like ****house. This problem also occurs @ hiway speeds--any ideas on a cure ?? Thanks, guys !!

I had almost the same problem with my Bronco V8.
Remove the Air Bypass Valve and clean it out good.
Also use Carb cleaner to swab out the throttle bores and butterflys in the bore.
My truck runs like new since doing this.

I cleaned the by-pass valve once, but maybe not enough, so I'll try it again--thanks for the suggestion !!
