Wheel Bearings
My wheel bearings seem to be wearing out more quickly than I would expect. The last wheel hub I replaced was after less than 30k miles due to the bearings. I drive a 1999 F350, crewcab, long bed. I do not have stock wheels and tires. I'm running 33", 12.5, 16.5 tires. I'm wondering if the larger tires could be a cause of the bearings not lasting as long and if so, is there different wheel hubs I could install to eleviate the problem? It wouldn't be so bad burning out the bearings if I didn't have to replace the entire wheel hub every time.

try this it's rather pricey but no more bad hubs, it's the dynatrac system

I have 30k on mine with 37's.... So far so good... plus about 15k ago I pulled them and regreased them up. Don't know if it made any difference though... You might want to check the offset on your wheels, that is usually the killer with larger tires.
I will go with the dynatrac setup if NAPA does not warranty them... good luck, Steven |
Napa warrentys their wheel bearings, if so i know where im buying mine from since i know someone who works there..
