Purging the fuel line/changing a filter
 

Changing the fuel filter and was wondering how to purge off the pressure before I change it. It is a 2000 5.4. Don't see it anywhere in my manual.

I always pull the fuse for the fuel pump and stat the pickup, it won't hadly even run but it will release the pressure from the lines. There will still be fuel in the lines put not the pressure. When you put it all bakc together turns the key on and off a couple of times before you start teh pickup to let the pressure back in the lines. Good Luck
