New motor
 
Does anybody know where to get a new 7.5 for a 1997 F350 in Alaska that is not more than $2,000.00 ? Go see Cal wants $6,000.00 and Nye $5,000.00
for new long blocks. Thxs.

check into some local rebuilders im sure you might have a better chance at around 2000 bucks for a remanufactured or rebuilt..

A lot of the ones i hear about in Anchorage,Ak is not good.
IT is 400 miles from me here in Bethel.
My Job makes it hard to call any shop my hrs go from 7:30am to 8:00 pm
any input would be welcome. thxs

rebuild
 
get a master rebuild kit and do it yourself. whats wrong with yours? is there a machine shop in bethel?

The con rods on the front cylenders let go. They went through both sides of the oil pan. I haven't had the time to look in the engine. There are no machine shop here in Bethel. The engine had 85,000 miles on it. I do not have the time or the tools to do it myself. Remember Bethel is out in the bush.
