blinker problem
 

my right front and mirror blinker do not work on my two day old '05 but the rear blinks fast. if i turn the wheel all the way or push the lever up and down then they all work normally. has anyone else had this problem.

i had a simular problem with my blinker blinking fast usually it means that there is a bulb out, at least that was my expereince it turned out that the bulb was out in the back you might try changing them and see if it helps

Seeing how it's both your LED mirror lights and front light bulb.. I'd have to say it's an electrical problem. More than likely it's the MFS (multi function switch) which directly controls that.

The rear is blinking fast because the flasher is not seeing the load of the other lights.

You say "two day old". If you got the truck from a dealer, it should be under some kind of warranty still, even if not the factory anymore. Even if not, only two days, the dealer would likely fix it for you. For good relations if nothing else. If you bought it from a private party, that kinda sucks.

I concur with cgl. Since they work part of the time and then don't at other times, it's probably an electrical issue.

Try talking with a tech at one of the electrical shops.

pull the bottom cover off the steering column and check the wiring harness. A few guys have had wire chafing issues, or the plug coming loose a little bit and not making a good connection. It should be fairly easy to see if either of these are your problem. If you can't find any problems by looking at the wiring you are probably going to have to take it to the shop (dealer or electrical). BTW this would most likely be covered under your 5 year 36000 mile warranty if you aren't over the miles.

Just do like they do here in LA, just don't use them period, problem solved. :-X07

I guess they are so out of style now, I just cannot see the point of fixing them. :-D
