how do i install a water tempature gauge? it will be going in a 1979 f150 4x4 with a 351.

If it's mechanical, you will need to run the calipary tube from the cabin to the motor compartment and thread it in. My 79 had a sending unit I removed and replaced with the capilary sender. Then it's just ground and light switch.

Or if it's electric, install the sender and run the wire.
