The best Coolant & Spark Plugs For 5.4L?

I have a 2000 F-150 4X4. Its almost at 100,000 Miles. What is the best Spark plugs and the best Coolant to use? I also want to flush my cooling system also. Is there a better coolant for alum. heads? And should I use single platinum or double platinum plugs? My manual says to use AWSD-22E Plugs, which I assume those are Motorcraft. But I am not sure if they are single or double platinum?

If that is what the manual says, I'd stick with it. I think there is an Autolite plug that is comparable to the Motorcrafts for a cheaper price. As for coolant, I went with Walmart brand Supertech and mixed it myself 60/40 strength with distilled water, I think it works just as well as the expensive Motorcraft stuff. Just my 2 cents.

I used the Prestone for all vehicles in my truck. Yes use distilled water if possible. It will reduce electrolosis in the cooling system. Double platinum plugs work best. Use Motorcraft or Autolite.

stick with the Motocraft plugs. never have a problem. other brands dont play well with some of the 5.4 V8 motors. as for antifreeze, i think the cheaper Wal Mart brand is fine. its all the same anyway.

Just make sure you put the same color of coolant back in. Motorcraft or autolite plugs, whichever are cheaper, they are the same thing. that number you have is superseded with a new number I am sure.
