power locks and remote entry not working
 

I drive an '02 F 250 Lariat crew cab with V-10. Arrived home and shut down. When I went back out, door locks were repeatedly locking and unlocking with no input from me. Remote had no effect, neither did power lock button. I disconnected the battery and when I reconnected it, power locks did not function at all. Remote entry doesn't function. Dash indicates all four doors are ajar. I'm at a loss. Anyone with similar problems or ideas on where to start troubleshoot???

I had that same problem. I replaced the Vehicle Security Module and the locks/keyless began working again. I still haven't fixed the door ajar yet, but I have replaced the rear sensors, the fronts work, and I have replaced the cluster expecting that the GEM was shot.

After you replace the VSM, the cluster needs to be reprogrammed.
