Need directions on how to use rear pressure regulator
 

Replacing intake manifold 1989 Ford F350 and I need to use the pressure regulator but I don't know how to use it. Can someone tell me? I rented the tool from Advanced Auto and need to use it and return it.

Also is there an area that has photos of the vaccum line lay out?

I need to get this done soon! Thanks for your help.

What is it you're trying to do with the intake manifold that involves a pressure regulator tool?

I am replacing it. Book said I need this tool for the fuel line.

The fuel line has a circle part where the lines connect. On one side of the circle part you will see a spring, this is the side you will put the tool on. This type of tool has an inner ring that will push that spring up into the circle and let the connection come apart. Open the tool like a clam, stick it on the fuel line, push it tword the circle, when you push hard enough it will move the spring up out of the way and you will be able to pull the line apart. Make sure you use the right size, I don't remember off hand what color to use. I bought a kit of them. I don't know how else to describe it.

Some transmission lines and A/C lines have the same type of connection. Often times on the A/C lines you will see a plastic ring hanging on there and it looks like something has broke. Hope that helps.
