Power mirror schematic?
 

I'm trying to find the wiring diagram for the power windows in a 96 f150. I've got a set of these that i need to fab a harnes for to install in my 82. If anyone could scan and post a pic or link that would be a great help. Thanks!

i saw that schematic but, unless i'm missing it, there isn't any mention of the mirror wiring. Please let me know if i'm wrong!!. Thanks for the help!

C'mon MODS or Users, if the info is not available delete the whole freaking post! it does absolutely no good to anyone, anywere to NOT have the pictures or links operable to a forum post, especially one as technically relevant as this one!!:-arrgh! maybe it should be a sticky in the archives, I know I am not the only one doing this mod!!!!

I need this info to install a set of 1996 power mirrors on my 1992 Bronco and would love to have some schematics to build a layover harness from the one I yanked out of the '96. I can do everything but I had to cut the harness near the big a$$ aluminum support that the brainiacs at Ford stuck RIGHT IN THE WAY OF EVERYTHING under the dash. I am not sure were to tie this in at or if it has its own leads to the fuse block.

C'mon FTE, help a fellow Ford lover out here and I will PERMANENTLY keep these schematics archived on my personal website, in fact, I have so many of these Ford trucks, I will archive and make available ANY and ALL schematics, diagrams and any other info for the 80-97 F-series that you cats send me. It will be an OBS repository if you will. WHY? because I am tired of searching for info just to find the links, or pictures are NOT there anymore.

Welcome to the internet. It's ever changing, and people and companies are always changing their websites. So that's why there are always dead links in old posts. This post is almost 4 years old.

I will give you some tips that work about 75% of the time for me when I am looking for info or doing research and hit dead links.

1. Look at the dead link very carefully Copy and paste it so you can look at the whole thing.
2. Then you can dissect the link and possibly figure out a way to it. Let's use the above as an example.

This is pointing directly to a specific page which has probably been moved, but may still exist. Most of the time if you go back through the front door of the website, you can find the page still exists. In this case we know the picture was at the photobucket site.

So I plugged in the photobucket site and went to the front page. I then studied the url above some more, and noticed in the url was the name "subford" and this is also the user name of the guy who posted the link in the first place. So in the search box on photobucket's site I typed in "subford". Not much info came up, so I started clicking around and on the right of the page was a link "view subford's profile". I clicked on that, and it took me right to his albums which still exist.

It will take some time searching through his albums, but this diagram you want might still be in there. I didn't look for it, but looking at the original url, he had a folder called "electrical". I would see if that folder still exists.

This method will work for most dead links that are hosted by large sites. Unfortunately if you run across a link to someone's personal website, sometimes you try to go to the front door of their site and the whole thing is gone. If that happens, you are usually sunk.
