Reverse gear

I am wondering about what happens while backing up.. Several times while parking the trailer in a campsite or in my backyard,it seems that the engine revs up quite high before the car moves.. Today,I wuz backing up my driveway, around 6%, and the engine got almost up to 2800RPM before it started to move..I checked the transmission fluid and it's ok.. The transmission was supposed to have been changed around 15K ago because third gear went out on the highway.. Do you have to have it re-adjusted or anything.. I don't have a copy of the repair order or warranty as I just got it in October..
