Next time I may not be so lucky and I know the insurance would try to lowball me on what they would pay if it was stolen.
Thanks for help guys,

Any alarm system that has an "engine disable" feature. That really is a must have. The siren is good, but does not help if they can still drive the truck.

Really a GREAT product: Ravelco.

I had a similar experience with a break-in last July '06 and they almost took my SD. Something scared them off...as they were only about 3 seconds from starting and driving off. Both door locks were punched out...and so was the ignition.

I now have an alarm system...and yes it is a FORD unit...with engine disable feature.

Good luck...

Lonewolf- I live in Cal-i-forni-GAY. You might get a CCW if you're a cop. I'm a Marine, 4th award expert w/M-16, and 2nd award expert w/9mm. I do understand what you mean about being in the right place at the right time. Don't mean a damn thing out here. HOPEFULLY, you never have a need to, but if your truck was getting ripped off, I would pray that I had the opportunity to meet the thieves. I also like the idea of hooking up a train or even truck horn to a alarm. I don't think it'd be that hard to run a wire to a relay and then to the horn.
