CertiFit auto body parts ...? anybody hear of them?!

Alright so here is the deal. My tailgate got all banged and bent up from a tow strap snapping ... 30,000 lbs break rating ... and no there was no metal involved all cloth strap ... anyways a brand new tail gate shell is $445.00 customer pay, at my work I get a discount to $334.00, which still in turn is a lot of cash. I have looked at junk yards for used ones, all are banged up and crappy for what they want for them. I was told by one of the auto body guys that work on some of the used cars to call up CertiFit parts, that they can get me a lot better deal on one. (they are an aftermarket company that makes replacement body parts) so i did, and they said $56.00 for the shell ... I could not believe the price difference!!

anyone ever used or heard or have seen their products? the price difference has made me think it is going to be a crappy product, thinner metal, or something that they could have cut a corner on or go cheap on in order to sell it that cheap.

im leaning towards the oem shell but i wanted to see if anyone has heard of them and what their thoughts are!

here is their website ...

OEM better

When I lived in the kansas city area we had a Certifit dealer and another cakk kc auto panel. Of the two cirtifit had better fitting products.
No they're not made as well or as heavy as the oem parts are. I've had to exchange a couple parts/fenders that I could tell weren't going to fit right.

ya i have bought a few things from them they are a 20 minute drive from my home, ive had to take 1 thing back because it didnt fit correctly but other than that the last 30 or so panels ive bought from them have been great

quite a few years ago, I worked at a place that rebuilt wrecked ford probes (yes he only did probes). He bought a lot of hoods and fenders from certifit. They seemed to fit decent, gental persuasion sometimes needed, not perfect, and yes they aren't great quality and thinner sheetmetal, but what can you expect at those prices.
