This is what is goin' on -
I plan to trump my very own Bosses ace by building up a drag truck with a Ranger II chassis, and the engine you see below once it is cleaned, modified, and bullet proofed for short tracks (1/8 mile). It might take a while - the progress on this project will be documented in the TN chapter but you can follow it as we go. Here is a link: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/5...ii-thread.html That right there is a 351 Windsor - and we think we can get it up over 408... You only thought I was crazy. How could you be expected to KNOW? |
Cool...Looking forward to seeing the progress..Good luck..

1/8th sucks thats why u need to move north i love the south to death but screw a short track wich is almost all yall race...

Qua, Pregunta, Was???
Did I forget to mention that I live 20 minutes away from Memphis Motorsports Park? Link: MMP - You want to be careful of "PROFILING". There's a reason the eighth mile is important... It fine-tunes launches and reaction times so that the quarter is a whole new ballgame. |
ok...and this means what to me?
i live within 2 hrs of maple grove, englishtown, atco, MIR, capitol, cecil, and delmar is my local 10 min away and i know all about the 1/8th its the first thing i look at on my slip that and my 60'...your preachin to the choir here...i also run a turbo car so the big end on the 1/4 is important to me...and my 60's are generally 1.6 on street tires so i know all about tuning... |
I've been trying to convince Dutch to scrap the ranger idea and shoehorn it into the bullfrog! :D

But anyway - short track is for fun. Also for getting everything right. When I finally get to MMP - it will be to hand someone their own backside! - I never do anything the easy way.... This build all by itself is going to seem like it takes forever! |
It may take a while, but thats part of the fun. Make sure to take plenty of pics. I'm wanting a project like that soon. :)

A 3.8 V6 might fit in the tractor.....
